Hi

Sorry but I am not 100% sure what you are asking. With the current API suite, most of the APIs have one thing in common: you query by certain constraints (e.g., doi, year, type, name, subject, etc.) and you get back limited data or metadata for articles and/or chapters that match your query. We do not offer any other public APIs. If this is not sufficient, can you please clarify a) what fields you would like to query by and b) what you hope to return?

Please clarify.

Our APIs do not interface with SpringerLink. We have much of the same data and your can search by many constraints (including empty search) and get back XML or JSON results (see more querying details at https://dev.springernature.com/adding-constraints). There is no csv functionality related to the API. For SpringerLink, you can download up to 1000 results at a time. For example, go to https://link.springer.com/search?query=neptune and click arrow on top right of page. That’s all. There is no API for that.

Hi eddie,

this is a feature request to actually create an API for SpringerLink or consolidation of nature and link through one API.

I understand that an interface to SpringerLink is not feasible due to limited resources. For us Springer service users on the other hand there is no big difference between SpringerLink and SpringerNature. Therefore, it’s not obvious why there are different databases and/or APIs/CSV download for both Springer services.
